Week 1 Lesson Plans

This week involves going over the accounting certificate, accounting training, assignments for chapter 1, which include a chart of accounts for your business and the chapter test and what is expected from you each week. In addition, you will begin work on the business contract and steps in completing the business loan.

This week involves going over Chapter 2 in the accounting training. It covers the balance sheet and how to obtain a business loan.

Week 3 Lesson Plans

This week involves going over Chapter 3 in the accounting training. It covers the income statement. Work with standard payment rates for companies, calculating interest rate on loan and determine monthly payments. Include 3-4 months of fixed expenses if you wish in loan amount. You will also finish the business contract and the business loan. Turn these documents into Mrs. Shamblin after my approval as they need to be mailed to the Virtual Enterprise Center in Bakersfield

This week, you will focus on completing the second half of the Income statement tutorial. Examine Biz Stats to find cost of goods sold amount for business contract. PowerPoint on Sales Contract lesson.

This week, you will focus on determining the break even point for your company. You will also do income projections for the year.

Week 6 Lesson Plans

This week, you will focus on Cash Flow Analysis using a spreadsheet template to calculate how much cash you will have each month to pay loan payments and regular monthly expenses, including salaries. It is time to do financial statements for the month of October. View all videos on how to use the general ledger program and journal entry transmittal form. Print out the instruction manual as well and journal entry transmittal sheet.

Week 7 Lesson Plans

This week, is a holiday week so time is limited. You will go through the tutorial on Trade Fair Billing/Accounts Receivable and Payable. You will examine all parts of an invoice and decide on he format of invoice to be used at the trade fair. If time permits, an open house is an excellent idea to test your order taking skills and sales skills for your sales department. You will also see how to keep track of these trade fair charge sales.
